Ezio knew he was going to miss. He knew that with certainty when he felt his shoulder give and staggered, gasping. His sword dropped from his hand as he clutched at the arrow half buried in his shoulder. He watched it all happen in slow motion, in utter disbelief. He'd not known the archers were anywhere near. Encounter: Chapter 1
Weapons flashing, angry voices. "Assassin! Assassin!"
The assassin- Altaïr Ibn La Ahad- scaled the wall, desperate to escape the guards. He let out a cry when an arrow struck his back. Fire ran up and down his spine.
In his pause during the climb, an archer took advantage and shot another arrow at Altaïr. It hit his right arm, making him lose his grip on the wall.
